About us
Bamenda Main Market online — who runs it, how listings are checked, and what we do not do.
Who we are
Bamenda Main Market is a physical market in Bamenda, North West Region, Cameroon. This site is its digital home: a directory where customers can find market shops and participating businesses in Bamenda, read official notices from the market office, and reach emergency contacts confirmed by market leadership.
The platform is operated together with the market office. Line Masters look after individual lines inside the market, and the Market Master gives final approval on what becomes publicly visible.
How we keep listings trustworthy
Verification by market leadership
A shop only shows a verified badge after a Line Master reviews its evidence and the Market Master approves it. Listings that have not passed this review are never labelled verified.
Clear about what we are
This platform lists shops and businesses so people can find them. We do not process payments, hold money, or take a cut of any sale made between a buyer and a vendor.
Vendors control their own listing
Each vendor decides which goods appear online and whether a price is shown. Prices and stock are updated by the shop owner, so details can change during the day.
Privacy of personal details
Private phone numbers used to sign in are never published. Only contact details a vendor chooses to publish are shown on a public page.
What this platform does not do
- It is not an emergency service. If there is immediate danger, call emergency services directly.
- It does not guarantee the quality, price, or availability of any product. Always confirm with the shop before travelling.
- A verified badge confirms that a shop and its owner were checked by market leadership. It is not a rating or a review of the goods sold.
- Business listings that have not yet been claimed and checked are shown as pending, not verified.
Corrections and reporting a problem
If a listing is wrong, out of date, or belongs to you, tell us. Shop and business owners can claim their listing and submit evidence, and market leadership reviews every claim before anything changes on a public page.
