North West elite hand over 75 million FCFA to fire victims

On Friday 7 June 2024, at the auditorium of the North West Regional Assembly, victims of the 22 February fire at Bamenda Main Market received a donation raised by the elite of the North West Region and friends of the region. A total of about 75.1 million FCFA was collected over two months. Minister Felix Mbayu explained the motive of the fund drive and how the money would be shared among the affected traders.
